Rhapsody Blue

Instructor

Rhapsody Blue is chronically ill with a license to thrill. This fire-eating, shimmy-shaking darling is a strip joint feature dancer, a circus entertainer, and a prolific emcee and producer. She has been performing burlesque since 2010. For five years, Rhapsody produced the weekly burlesque spectacular known as Burlesque Wednesdays.

She is the only artist, to date, to take her bra off on stage at Canada's National Arts Centre.

Rhapsody sat on the board of directors of the Ottawa Burlesque Festival, serves as resident MC for Naked Boys Reading Ottawa, and has worked in theatrical choreography.

Rhapsody Blue has appeared at the NOLA Nerdlesque Festival, the Toronto, Edmonton, and Ottawa Burlesque Festivals, the Ottawa International Buskers Festival, & in 2018 was featured talent in the Capital Burlesque Expo. Rhapsody is also a fetish educator and playwright. The Bombest Booty in the Book Club... it's Rhapsody Blue!

Rebecca Cordage

Instructor

Rebecca Cordage brings the chaos, the sass, and very little class. This queer, neurodivergent honey has been performing since a very young age. With decades of experience in various dance styles, from jazz to contemporary to pole dance, she’s guaranteed to give you variety. Her background in theatre, clown, and musical theatre, means she loves the silly, fun, and animated side of dance and burlesque. She will help you explore different characters and feel out different vibes throughout her time with you. Rebecca specializes in choreography based instruction. Rebecca’s goal as an instructor with Rouge Studio of Dance: Kingston is to create a safe space for all levels, genders, and bodies to explore and challenge themselves. 

Danielle McTaggart

Instructor

Danielle has been sharing her love of Bellydance for over 20 years and has a passion for teaching. Starting in Classical Styles, she now specializes in Synchronized Group Improv, Fusion Bellydance and American Cabaret.

Danielle enjoys bringing different props to her performances (currently specializing in swords!) and can get lost in costume creation.

Kopy Cat

Instructor

Kopy Cat has been performing on stages of all sizes for over 25 years including graduating with a Musical Theatre Performance degree. They have been doing burlesque since 2017 when she won Burlesque Idol at the Ottawa International Burlesque Festival. This Mohawk beauty has taken North America by storm performing her upbeat, high-energy style. Kopy Cat is a member of Capital Tease Burlesque and one of the producers of Ottawa’s only burlesque show, Basement Burlesque. She’s one in a million! She’s the Original, Kopy Cat!
