*IGNORE THE CLASS DATES LISTED. This pass can be used as a 4 pack of drop-ins for Floorwork and/or Heels on any dates. Email info@rougestudioofdance.com after signing up with a note of the classes you wish to join. (Heels 6pm & Floorwork 7pm on Mondays) Heels Technique-Mondays 6pm We will be focusing on the fundamentals of dancing in heels while tying in elements of burlesque such as body awareness, confidence and sensuality. We will go over posture, balance, fluidity, lines, walking, turns, texture, things to do with your arms and more. **Heels are optional but recommended as they aid in a lot of the movements. Your instructor wears 3 1/2-4” heels but feel free to wear shorter heels. Dress any way you’d like as long as you are able to comfortably dance in it! Floorwork Technique-Mondays 7pm: The goal of this class is to get everyone feeling super comfortable on the floor, whether you are new to floorwork or already incorporate it into your dance. We will go over posture, lines, dives, spins, undulations/body rolls, how to get to and from the floor in a controlled and fluid way, floorwork combos and more. **Heels are optional for this class but kneepads are very highly recommended. Your instructor will bring a couple of spares but please bring your own if you have them! Slinky Clare is a performer and instructor based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has a particular affinity to spookiness as well as a stellar resting bitch face and signature “slinky” style that is dripping with weird, dark and sexy. In addition to Burlesque, Slinky does belly dance, heels dance & fire and was one of the selected performers in the inaugural Atlantic Burlesque Festival in Halifax in May 2024.
